Hope Player has worked for nearly thirty years helping hundreds of small businesses be successful. She shares lessons learned from her own mistakes and successes to guide entrepreneurs as an author and speaker on small business and financial literacy topics. She holds the professional designations of Certified Public Accountant, Certified Financial Planner, and Certified Valuation Analyst, and is the Managing Member of The Arcadian Group, LLC. She is a summa cum laude graduate of the University of South Carolina.
She is the author of the book Find the Numbers for Your Business Plan (Full Court Press, 2010), which she uses as her text for her most popular seminar. She has most recently taught webinars/seminars for New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants, Institute for Entrepreneurial Leadership, Lawline.com, New Jersey Women’s Entrepreneurship Series, and The Women’s Institute at Bergen County Community College.
Hope has been recognized by Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants for Outstanding Public Service and by the Small Business Administration as an Outstanding Accountant Advocate. She currently serves on the Boards of Directors of the Institute for Entrepreneurial Leadership in Newark, New Jersey, the International Women’s Writing Guild in New York, New York, and the Advisory Board of Directors of the Fort Lee Regional Chamber of Commerce in Fort Lee, New Jersey. She is also an active volunteer with the Financial Literacy Committee of New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Hope lives in Fort Lee, NJ with her husband Jim Pappas. They spend their free time traveling and racing Porsches.
